  • On this walk you can explore St. Andrew's church and see swans on the attractive pond by whitewashed cottages.
  • You walk for 3½ miles upon field paths, an old mill path (though the mill has gone) and a secluded woodside path.  On a clear night you will see Flamborough lighthouse flashing some 20 miles away.
  • Start in Middleton village and follow the route shown on the map.  The paths are obvious so you shouldn't get lost.

Features of Interest
- St. Andrew's church in Middleton is of Norman origin with a south doorway and font dating from that period. The early 13th century chancel's lancet windows contain stained glass installed in 1981 by A. Younger.
Accessibility Information
This route:-

- contains a mixture of gates, steps and stiles, but otherwise is relativley flat.

- crosses the busy A614 to Bridlington.

- contains some uneven surfaces.
Additional Information
- Please note that access to the disused railway is via a permissive path. At certain times of the year it can be overgrown, especially adjacent to the playing field to the west, and Gate Cottage at the eastern end.
