  • From the layby walk in a generally northwestern direction, following 'Minster Way' signs along fieldpaths to Snowclose Plantation.
  • Through the wood, follow more fieldpaths to a beck and then past ancient earthworks and the castle site of Coney Hill.
  • Continue North to Lockington village, and turn left to stroll through this historic village
  • Cross over the beck and head towards Thorpe Lane
  • Take Church Lane to St. Mary's Church.  Walk through the grave yard to the footbridge, before turning right
  • Retrace your steps past Coney Hill before turning off to the right along field paths in a southerly direction.
  • Follow path South along drain bank to a small plantation, turn left (eastward) and return along the bridleway to the layby.
