  • Start from the B1248 Beverley-Malton road about a 1/2 mile south of Tibthorpe.  Follow the public bridleway alongside Low Wood to the end of the trees.  Next turn left around the end of the wood and continue in a southerly direction along a track to High Wood.  Turn left again along the northern side of the trees to return onto the B1248.  Your car should be half a mile up the road!
  • The woods are attractive at all times of year.  Like most woods they can be quiet at times, but the quieter you are the noisier they will be as the birds (and perhaps even the woodland animals) come out of hiding and begin to chatter.  Pause quietly and look around you to soak up the feel of the woods; enjoy the variety and colour of the different flowers and trees.
