Description
  • Your walk starts from the centre of Driffield at the Cross Hill car park, near the library.  Pass along Mill Street and Market Place, and go past the church on Middle Street North.
  • At North End turn right to follow North Street and Windmill Hill round to the left.  Turn right into Long Lane and cross the A614 with care.  Head northward on the track past Danesdale.
  • Once you have passed Clitheroe and Wold House Farm you will come to Elmswell Wold Farm and Garton Balk.  Carefully cross the A166 by Garton before continuing straight on.  Turn left to Elmswell.
  • Walk along the A166 footway.  Leave it at Little Driffield, joining a footpath into the village.  Turn right and walk along Church Lane (known locally as 'Mucky Dick'), past the church.
  • Turn left at the old railway cottages, walk along a footpath and then cross the A614 with care.  Continue along the path over the field and bridges of Kings Mill and the Millennium Green.  Finally, join Kings Mill Road and Mill Street to return to the start.
