Description
  • Take the public footpath along the side of the dale and follow it around the corner of Dugdale Fields.  Stay to the right of the fence for the length of the dale until you reach Townend Wood.
  • When you arrive at the Warter road turn a sharp left and walk into the dale itself.  Great Dugdale is an Open Access Area, so you may wander anywhere within the bounds of the site.  (Look for signs at the entry points of the access area.)
  • Walk along the dale to a kissing gate near the dale head and rejoin the footpath where you first started.
