Description
  • Leave the Leisure Centre car park from the left-hand corner and work your way towards Aire Street.  Turn left onto Aire Street, cross over and then walk over the bridge using the footpath to its right.
  • Follow the public footpath through the docks, keeping between the lines painted on the tarmac.  You will exit the docks via South Street and Vermuyden Terrace, and come onto Bridge Street.
  • Cross Bridge Street and follow signs to the Waterways Museum, keeping to the left-hand side of the road.  Once past the Museum follow the footpath along the top of the riverbank.  This path goes to the right and brings you to the canal.
  • Turn left at the canal and walk under the railway bridge along the canal.  Retrace your route back to the Leisure Centre 30 minutes after starting your walk.
  • If you are a slow walker you will reach the museum before having to retrace your route back to the start.
