Description
  • From the Plough walk in an easterly direction along Ings Lane past the Cottage Farm entrance.
  • Take the public footpath on the right via fieldpaths and a track to Fir Tree Farm, where the right of way changes to a bridleway.
  • On reaching a lane turn right, away from the water tower and the A614.
  • Follow the lane for about 800 yards before turning along a field footpath to the south.
  • Cross a bridge over a large drain and turn right along Featherbed Lane, a bridleway track which can be boggy in wet weather.  Follow the track for just over a mile before recrossing the drain and walking on a fieldpath to the road near Sandford House.
  • Turn right and then left and return to the start at Spaldington.
