  • Starting from the car park, cross the B1228 road and head eastward along the Rail Trail.
  • Arriving at the next road you have reached Foggathorpe.  If you're in need of refreshment just turn left and walk along to the Black Swan about 400 yards away.
  • Continue along the Rail Trail to a crossroads of public footpaths and turn right to pass by a lakeside area to Foggathorpe House.
  • Continue southward past more lakes, to Gribthorpe, and turn westward (right).  Follow the lane and then a public footpath to Willitoft.
  • Swing right, along the lane, past Willitoft Hall, then left and right on a footpath to return to the lane, and the B1228 to the car park.
