Description
  • This route is part of the former Hull to Withernsea line, built by the Hull and Holderness Railway Company in 1854 to serve the agricultural needs of the area and the new seaside town of Withernsea. 
  • The route runs from Hull (Southcoates Lane) via the historic town of Hedon to the village of Keyingham.  It provides a flat, easy-to-use route into the countryside.

Features of Interest
-  Before the railway, Withernsea had a population of 72.  However, after the railway line arrived, Withernsea grew into the bustling place it is today.
