Description
  • From Coniston walk along Thirtleby Lane and pass over a drain, then turn right along a bridleway after about 175 yards.
  • Follow the bridleway southwards, cross a footbridge, and reach a track which heads westwards towards Hungerhills.
  • Turn right, then left after approximately 90 yards to continue southward along a fieldpath to the B1238 road, at Wyton Bar.
  • Turn right and walk through Bilton on the footway of Main Street until you reach the superstore.
  • Directly opposite is a bridleway which will take you northward and eastward to Holmes Lane.
  • Cross the road with care and follow the bridleway past Hungerhills to the end of the track and turn left to retrace your earlier steps for about 480 yards.
  • Leave the bridleway at this point and take a field footpath to your left.
  • Follow the path in a westerly, then generally northward direction to return to Thirtleby Lane and Coniston.
