  • Take the cliff top path from Withernsea.  (If you walk along the beach, you may find it difficult to climb up the crumbling cliffs.)  Next follow field paths to, and across, the road and then use a grass track to return to Withernsea.  If you want to walk a bit further, carry on along more field paths to, or around, the farming village of Rimswell.  The village consists of a few farms and a little yellow brick church.
  • This is a "stretch your legs" type of walk through a working landscape.  Spend a few hours in the countryside and blow away those cobwebs!  You will enjoy views of the sea and sky.

Features of Interest
- Many of the paths in this area originally radiated from an old windmill at Waxholme. The paths were used by local residents as a day-to-day short-cut. Several years ago, the paths were reorganised to fit in with modern farming methods and were diverted onto field headlands. Today they have the important recreational role of providing public access into the countryside. Without them you wouldn't be able to take short walks away from the traffic and enjoy the peaceful solitude which a country stroll can bring.
