How long has it taken other people to complete? We are aiming to start very early and see how much of it we can walk before nightfall as a build up to walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks next month.

I am normally more at home on harder and higher fells but enjoy the Wolds nonetheless. Lovely scenery, quiet and peaceful I am happy to be here.

I really enjoy the area around Drewton Manor and South Cave what with Red Kites and some ascents and decsents to keep me fit. I tend to walk on my own but always enjoy talking to those whom I come across. Happy walking!

Dear All

My boyfriend and I are planning to walk this trail next week and after looking at the maps, wanted to let everyone know that it isn't 26 miles as stated on the route description. It's around 15 miles, far more managable!

Regards

Submitted By - Gavin Hewitt 08/06/2010 12:10:13 Dear Holly and All. Holly is quite correct in saying the route is around 15 miles long but, the route info says to return to start as it is not a circular route, in which case it would be approx 26-30 miles. If you want to only walk one way, EYMS buses run service 240 from Hull interchange hourly Mon-Sat. The Sunday timetable is less regular. Check out their web site for details. From Hornsea the route starts at the old railway station opposite the police station on Station Road. Having walked and cycled the route on regular occasions I can highly recommend it.

I'm new to blogs and therefore not as professional as others but just wanted to promote the area as I think sometimes it's over looked by many - The area does not have the dramatic hills as the Dales/Lakes but the scenery and walks are superb.
