COVID-19 Update

With the removal of many restrictions the Government has switched the emphasis from legal restrictions to personal responsibility. The emphasis remains on businesses and organisations to manage their own approaches to risk, all underpinned by the need for caution. East Riding registrars will still be asking for a respectful distance between themselves, and anyone present at all ceremonies and appointments until such a time as cases reduce considerably, in order that we are able to deliver all local registration services.

The service appreciates the difficult situations and decisions faced by the public, couples and venues and are doing their best to be as flexible as possible in all circumstances. The service will be returning any enquiries in order of the date received but we acknowledge our reduced staffing level could delay this process and ask that multiple messages are not left, as we need to return every call and we do not want to inconvenience you by calling more than once.
